I have a Lacie 500 GB external harddrive with some movies on it. I was wondering if it was possible to connect the harddrive by USB to the box and watch the movies from there. Is there some place to get where, after you connect the cable, it will take you to where your files are, or is this just impossible?

you cant do it, time warners boxes may have the usb input but it doesnt work. the input is completely inactive.... it jus kinda there in case we ever decide to use them

Yeah...my USB port doesn't really do much good. It's powered, so it can be used to charge Mp3 players and cell phones and stuff, but the box won't find anything that's plugged in.

TW should take after Dish and activate it for external hard drives...thus you can expand your DVR storage.

A plasma over the fireplace question; sat related!
