Does anyone know if you can use the RCA DTC 100 and connect it directly to your computer monitor? I've been thinking about buying a used one and want to know if it's worth the effort? thanks

You should be able to connect it to any multisync computer monitor using a standard VGA cable. The RCA has a VGA DB15 output. I connect it directly to my CRT front projector (an NEC XG135) that was designed to accept computer sources, so I see no reason why a good computer multisync monitor would not also work just fine.
