Using Fiber

I work in a large building. We have a HD Direct TV dish on the opposite side of the building. We have several wiring closets that are all connected with multimode fiber. I have seen or read about Video Converters that convert Coax to Fiber. Will this work to extend the coax from the dish to the reciever on the other side of the building

Converting video on coax to fiber is entirely different from trying to convert satellite signals to fiber.

What's the distance?

Its at least 500 to 1000 feet

I think the least expensive solution would be to put another dish closer to where it's needed.
