Video issues on DVR recordings

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere - but the last few weeks I have been having issues with recordings from the DVR freezing and locking up the unit. It seems to happen when there are multiple recordings going on (dual tuner receiver in single mode) and especially on Wednesday and Friday nights. I have a 722 and it is hooked up by HDMI. Is this a known issue? I have been away from the forum for a while and am not up to speed on all the issues. This seems to be some sort of firmware issue or something new - I have never had it before and have been with Dish (with same DVR) for more than 2 years.

Pull the power plug for 10 seconds and then restart. Sometimes a hard reboot is needed.

Thanks Tom, I gave that a try and will see if it fixes the issue.

If you haven't already, get an external hard drive of at least 500GB and move anything you want to keep off the ViP722.

It would appear that the DVR is a short-timer and may be shipping out soon.

I'd go for the archiving what you want to an External just in case also...
