Video problems dish 500

Has any one had this problem with dish 500 with a model 4500 receiver. I have a good signal and I receive the program information and can cycle thru the channels but I have no actual program video or audio just a blank screen, if I hit info the information comes up. Could my receiver be cooked, I tried the RF output and a/v outputs.

Unplug the power cord from the outlet, wait a few minutes and plug it back in (hard reset).

i'd say its time for a new receiver... just my opinon
