VIP 612 Audio drop

I recently purchased a 612. When I use the skip forward feature or skip back feature it takes a couple of seconds for the audio to return. The video is there immediately. I have tried different HDMI cable and different inputs on the TV and it made no difference. Any suggestions?

It's normal.
 
I have logged this complaint a few months ago and they said the engineers will get to it, and to call back in a few weeks. I chatted yesterday with their online tech guys and he said that this problem has been logged by many people and they are activly working it.... what does that mean??? who knows. but if you switch to component the lag is not there for me atleast!
