Does any one know what MHz the 2nd remote for a VIP 622 operates on?
I'm looking to control the 2nd tuner of my 622 with my Harmony 880 programmable remote.
The main problem is that tuner 2 only uses UHF to control it in Dual Mode and the 880 work on IR not RF, I'm looking for a IR to RF converter that works on the same frequency as my 622.

I have found IR to RF to IR extenders that will allow you to control any ir device from a distance or non line of site, but I don't want to convert it back to IR if I do I'll be controlling the main TV in Dual mode.

Knowing the UHF frequency will not allow you control your 622 directly. There is no universal standard for IR to UHF conversion and each manufacturer has a proprietary system of using UHF to control.

Heck, Harmony itself has a proprietary system for its IR/UHF remotes. With those remotes, a proprietary UHF signal is sent from the remote to a Harmony "extender" that in turn either emits an IR signal or a signal by wire to a mini-pin.

Indeed I don't think anyone that I know of who has harmony remotes has gotten the Tuner 2 to work on UHF, your best bet is most likely a UHF to IR kit for your Tuner 2 feed ( I would post a link but I do not think it is allowed here) just google it or check one of the sponsors for the item, hopefully this helps!

EDIT: here is the Dish User description of the UHF - to - IR KIT ----> http://dishuser.org/tv2ir.php
