My 722 just randomly restarted at 1:56pm while I was sitting in my office writing a paper. I have it set to reboot every night at 4am, and it usually does. Is there a reason it would restart in the middle of the day?

Well, all I'm saying is that when new software is updated the receiver reboots. My 722 rebooted yesterday afternoon around 3:00 PM PST while I was watching TV. Went to check the software version and voila, I had L618.

well, i know the dual tuners initially had psu issues. but with so many folks saying it JUST started, i'm wondering if we techs are supposed to continue to ra these units.

I don't think it just started, I have replaced 2 622s in the last few months. The CSRs were very quick to replace them and not too many questions asked so I think the word is out that they need to replace them. If the problem is with the PSU, software updates won't fix the problem. :(

right, but in my experience if i install a dual tuner with psu issues, im getting a call from the customer before my day is even done. i find it interesting that people are reporting that theirs has worked fine, and then one day (soon after a recent software spooling) it suddenly starts to reboot.
whatever the problem, its going to have to be adressed real soon. it's been years already with the 625's doing this. if it were faulty psu's dish should have fired the vendor who supplies it long long ago and gone with someone else.
