vip722k install questions

First post here so go easy on me. I am getting Dish installed tomorrow and
have a few questions. I am supposed to get a vip722k. My main TV is in
the basement and is HD. My secondary TV is upstairs and is also HD, but is
primarily used for kids shows. I opted not to get an HD receiver for this
TV upstairs for cost savings and for the DVR functionality.

1. Can the 722k accommodate more than 2 tvs? It looks like it only comes
with 2 remotes, but I have seen threads that make it sound like more than 2
tvs could be hooked up?

2. Does the 722k connect to the internet for on demand viewing? If so, do
I need to purchase an adapter as my router is upstairs (assuming it is not
included)?

3. I'm assuming the installer will run coax from the 722k to TV2? Any
comments as to the picture quality when doing this (I understand it will
not be HD)? Also, is there any way to get HD to TV2? Just curious.

Absolutely. The coax output can be connected to your houses existing coax network. Any tv you connect to can tune into the tv2 output of the receiver. The catch is that only two things can be watched independently. Every tv that is connected via coax will have to watch the same thing.

Yes it does. The best way to get the fastest connection for onDemand viewing is to run an ethernet cable directly to the receiver. There are two alternatives. One is a wireless adaptor (the type that plug directly into an ethernet jack, and not the USB variety are the way to go). Of course, the final option is homeplug, which uses your existing electricity infrastructure for networking (you would need another separate adapter at your router).

It is just sd quality. Nothing special there. And yes, you can get hd to tv2, but it involves long cable runs. Both the hdmi and component outputs are simultaneously active, so one tv can be hooked up via hdmi and the other via component. Alternatively, you could use splitters. Either way, both of the hd sources will have to watch the same thing.
