In recent weeks, I have developed a problem with a substantial volume difference between HD and SD channels, and also between HD channels and items recorded to the DVR. I am running an HR24-100 receiver. I also recently replaced a Vizio TV with a Philips.
The volume differential is more than double when switching from a recorded program to live TV on an HD channel. Reciever is set for Dolby Digital sound. So is television. Using HDMI connections.
D* said at first the problem was the TV audio, then said that the problem of sound differential is normal and has always been there. Neither response is accurate. Finally, they claimed to have no control over the volume on individual channels, since this is cotrolled by each individual channel.
Help!
