Voom and X1 ?

I have question for anyone with a similar setup. I am using an X1 projector with a 102" screen. If I set the output to 1080i I have about 1" on the bottom and 3" on the right side loss of full screen. If I use 720p the screen is full. I have a zenith 520 I have been using about 8 months which fills the screen full. I do not want to readjust the projector ceiling mount. The 720p image still looks great. I am not trying to debate which is better (720p or 1080i) I would like to know if maybe it is a receiver problem. Anyone seeing this on there setup?????

I am using an X1 in one of my setups, but I allowed sufficient play in the lens zoom to account for any differences in HD timings. I have a large black velvet border on my screen, and I let the image spill onto that border. I'll try to do a comparison for you and post back here later.
