[VOOM/DISH/OTA] Got Voom bix from eBay, won't get locals on scan

Signal strength is good but cannot watch any of the channels.

When I run the Scan Local Channels none is listed.

Item 5 (Activate Box) is unchecked.

Seller said in listing:

"I HAVE VERIFIED ALL HDTV OFF AIR CHANNELS ARE RECEIVED."

How is this possible?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do a soft reset, press "power" buttom on receiver for about 5 seconds, you'll see orange light blinks off; see what happens. Don't ever do a system reset (you can find info somewhere over internet, I'll not tell you how to do it), it will set your receiver back to factory setting, the receiver will become "not authorize..." - Item 5 (Activate Box) will become checked again, "checked" means Not-activated Box. (Don't do a system reset; only do a soft reset.)
