BETHPAGE - EchoStar Communications, which bought the satellite used
by Cablevision's Voom service, may be interested in its programming
as well.

According to Sky Report, EchoStar CEO Charles Ergen, during his
monthly "Charlie Chat" broadcast on EchoStar's Dish Network, said
the company is considering acquiring Voom's HD content.

Cablevision developed 21 exclusive high-definition channels for
Voom. Cablevision Chairman Charles Dolan had sought to buy Voom's
assets, minus the satellite bought for $200 million by EchoStar,
from Cablevision.

But Dolan was unable to arrange for transmission of the Voom service
after the satellite was sold. Cablevision said it plans to shut down
Voom at the end of this month.
