I want to be ready when they get here Sat.

Currently I have DirectTV with TIVO (am keeping. Does anyone know
what kind or if I need a switch to be able to manuever between VOOM
and Direct? The Direct TV receiver stays on all the time, that way
you can record. So I figure I will need a switch on the cable going
to the TV, to be able to tell the TV which box I am watching (using).

Your DirecTV uses SVideo or Composite to hook to your TV. You'll be using
Component or DVI with Voom so You'll just use the switch built into your TV.
