Voom Information

My current Dish commitment is up and I live in Knoxville,TN. Is their someone
on this Forum from my area that can point me to an installer that they were
happy with? Reading other posts, I understand that Installs, Inc. is no longer
the only source for an installation. Looking forward to VOOM and the HD. Thanks for any help in this matter.

Installs Inc. is the only company that is installs for voom they do however subcontract out the jobs so you just need to find a company in you area that customers have been happy with and request that they do you install

That's what I am looking for a company in my area that customers have been
happy with and the one I could request that they do my install.

Check the list of VOOM resellers in your area. Some independent resellers might be doing installation without Installs Inc.

Thanks all. Found one independent that sales and installs as well here in my area.
Will have the installation set up for next week. Won't be long and I will be vooming.
The voom box can't be as bad as the 811 box. At least I can't imagen anyone being
able to produce a worse product.

If you go through an independent reseller, make sure to check their pricing, policies, etc. They probably have the same deal as VOOM directly, but it's worth double-checking.

Thanks, Ilya> The company I found was listed on the Dish Network under
my zip code along with a bunch of Sears stores. I am going to their store
Saturday and will check them out. I don't need the OTA as I have been using
my 1120 Pio media box tuner and am receiving all my local digital stations. The
tuner is far surperior to the 811 OTA tuner and locks onto stations that the
811 box would recognize but not tune in. I also have a perfect LOS to the
61.5 and the 72(?) sats. The square shooter ant. mounted on the eave of the
house has really helped with the OTA channels.
