[VOOM] New box different problem

I had a Voom receiver that was locking up several times a day. When
I did watch an HD Movie, there was not one that didn't have at least
a few episodes of minor digital tiling running through some part of
the screen. (Even though I'm using 24" dish in Southern California
and signal is high 90s). This receiver would also sometimes indicate
that local signal had been lost on some of my locals. (I do local HD
for a living and KNOW that my off air antenna is adequate).

When I reported these issues, I was told that a lot of the older
receivers had problems like this so I swapped up to the newest
version. The first movie I watched (I think it was Cody Banks) was
interference free and looked really good.
However, when watching "It Could Happen To You" last night, there
were about 5 times that the picture went black for 2-3 seconds and
then resumed. Other than that the picture was good.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

Hi Steve,

This problem has been mentioned in a thread on satguys. However,
before we decide it is a problem make sure that it is happening during
more than one movie and/or one channel. If so then there are likely a
number of reasons although I don't know all of them. As you know it
could be the STB--maybe yours is another defective STB. We haven't
seen this issue here.
