[VOOM] Plunged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Sneaky John]

Ok......I took the plunge! They said they set me up for a install on the
16th, hopefully they will stick to that (I have heard a lot of horror
stories about install).

I was told that if I needed to upgrade my OTA antenna that that would cost
extra. I thought they included this if there was a reception
problem?!?!?!?! By the way, how much of the OTA stuff is in letterbox and
not full screen? Would you say a majority of it?

Congrats..... Most of the major networks Primetime schedule is in HD
16:9 format. Excluding shows like 60 mins, Fear factor that kind of
stuff. Vooms policy used to be they'd ok an antenna upgrade if no
channels were being received. Not sure if that has changed.

Thank you, this has been 6 months of trying to make my mind up. As you
may have read in my earlier post a couple of days ago, I was and still am a
little worried about leaving DTV. It wasn't easy, it is scary....you hear
all these bad things. But until you do it, you never really know. I kinda
look at it in the sense of when you go on line and read reviews about any
certain product and there are always a few who don't like it and there are
always a few who love it. It almost becomes just perception!

I do have to admit, most of my concerns have been the financial issues I
have read about. And have never been able to really get a clear answer on
this. Maybe it is too soon to get one?!?!?!?!

So the stuff that isn't HD can't be stretched either by the box or my T.V
?

be something she would pass on to the installer, but the price would be up

How far away are you from the broadcast towers...
Try using www.antennaweb.org for a clearer look at your OTA
situation. It's real helpful...
