I also keep my Cable (unfortunately) both for Cable Modem as well as HDTV of local/networks---
My HDTV thru Adelphia is $10/month which is the rental charge for their HDTV box. They are now renting their upgraded box which records HDTV. The cost is an extra $2.00 a month so they swap out the old box costing $10 and replace it with a box that records HDTV at $12/month.
That seems fair. Some other more costly options being mentioned seem a bit costly.
