Does the VOOM/Motorola receiver stay warm even while not in use ? I'm wondering since I need to have both of my VOOM receivers installed inside cabinets.

I'm scheduled for a 6/15 install date but we shall see ? I wish it would be installed sooner so I can watch the Lakers win in HD but I'll just have to watch it in SD.

Yes, but it doesn't get too warm at all. If you have at least some ventilation there, it shouldn't be a problem.

I have one of my Voom stbs sitting on top (with a spacer for air flow) of my receiver inside a cabinet and it does not get hot. It is very warm to the touch but never hot.

The Voom receiver stays fairly cool, you can touch it when its been on for hours and not get burned. I would suggest not putting any equipment on top of the receiver. I can say it doesn't get as warm as my receiver.
