Already posted-Looks like WBD is going to split its services.
Neither of your last two paragraphs are accurate. I'm 100% certain. Nor does it make any sense as the majority of their cash comes from the linear networks and there would be no reason to cut off that cash flow stream. It also goes completely against what they said in their earnings call last week about the importance of the linear business and the slowing of losses there or their recently announced new linear carriage deals with both Comcast and Charter. Finally, they didn't eliminate their new scripted content as they showed multiple programs at their upfront presentation today...
Horrible news for the streaming and studios business side of things. Its CEO David Zaslav will lead the streaming and studios business after the breakup
And they are turning over the linear TV division to present Chief Financial officer. We all know how that will turn out.Horrible news for the streaming and studios business side of things.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s Post-Split Companies Will Be Warner Bros. and Discovery
The post-split companies also set their senior leadership teams.www.hollywoodreporter.com
So what happened to The Magnolia Network?Warner Bros. will include the Warners film and TV studios, DC Studios, HBO and HBO Max, and the TCM cable channel; Discovery will include the former Discovery and Turner linear channels, including TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, Discovery, Food Network, and HGTV. It will also include the company's international TV channels, and the Discovery+ streaming service.
No doubt. I'm sure they were shocked when they put the Discovery content on MAX and everyone quite subscribing to Discovery+. A real genius move on their part.So then the idee-r is make people sub to both hbo-max and disc?
Discovery content is still on HBOMax.No doubt. I'm sure they were shocked when they put the Discovery content on MAX and everyone quite subscribing to Discovery+. A real genius move on their part.
Yes but the split has not occurred yet. I mean I don't have any "insider" info but I can't see why they would leave it on HBO Max which will be a Warner product while Discovery + will be a Discovery product.Discovery content is still on HBOMax.
True. And as it's turning out, it will be like they never merged in the fist place!!!Yes but the split has not occurred yet. I mean I don't have any "insider" info but I can't see why they would leave it on HBO Max which will be a Warner product while Discovery + will be a Discovery product.
