Warner Brothers Discovery split

Already posted-

Warner Bros. will include the Warners film and TV studios, DC Studios, HBO and HBO Max, and the TCM cable channel; Discovery will include the former Discovery and Turner linear channels, including TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, Discovery, Food Network, and HGTV. It will also include the company's international TV channels, and the Discovery+ streaming service.
So what happened to The Magnolia Network?

Discovery content is still on HBOMax.
Yes but the split has not occurred yet. I mean I don't have any "insider" info but I can't see why they would leave it on HBO Max which will be a Warner product while Discovery + will be a Discovery product.

True. And as it's turning out, it will be like they never merged in the fist place!!!

I think b4pjoe was referring to Magnolia ownership, since it is partially owned by Warner. Yes?
Maybe so, but I think the article he refers to is only including the most popular channels. They didn't list them all. Here is a more complete list:

Magnolia Network is on channel 111
Animal Planet is on channel 184

Magnolia Network requires a sub with Flex or Top 200 or above
Animal Planet requires a sub with Top 120 or above, not available with Flex
I do not have DISH. I do have DIRECTV and know where the linear channels are at.

Yes I was referring to which side now owns Magnolia Network. Warner or Discovery. The article never mentioned it.

From the article itself: "Warner Bros. will include the Warners film and TV studios, DC Studios, HBO and HBO Max, and the TCM cable channel; Discovery will include the former Discovery and Turner linear channels, including TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, Discovery, Food Network, and HGTV. Based on that and the chart I listed above I'd guess that Magnolia Network and Animal Planet would both go over to Discovery. Magnolia is iffy based on what the chart says but I'd bet it goes with Discovery.

I think so too as DIY network was a spinoff of HGTV and later became Magnolia Network so it originated on the Discovery side of the fence but it just seems odd there was no mention of it in the article.
