WDJT-TV (Channel 58) was still off the air Friday morning.
The storm that dropped more than seven inches of rain on the area flooded the station's Lincoln Creek transmitter site. Rainfall at the site was estimated at 6 to 8 inches.
The station is currently being broadcast on Channel 4.3 the WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) digital channel, replacing COOL TV.
“We are happy to help a fellow broadcaster while they make repairs to their transmission facility," said Steve Wexler, vice present of radio and television for Journal Broadcast Group. "In fact, CBS 58 provided us with a similar service a couple years ago when storms disrupted our signal as well."
WDJT is owned by Weigel Brodcasting. WMLW-TV, MeTV, THIS TV, Shorewest TV and Telemundo Wisconsin, all owned by Weigel, are also off the air.
