a baby BUD ....... Apparently the 10' channelmaster had a very good relationship with my 76cm winegard:D

Seriously tho, just went and grabbed a 6' channelmaster wire mesh dish (gotta love the absolutely free section of the local paper). Currently set up for c band only, but all ready for a c/ku setup, it has very small mesh. I am going to get the pole tomorrow, it was on a mount much like i set up for my 10' dish. One thing i noticed immediately is that this is small all the way around, small dish, small bolts holding it to the pole, AND a small actuator.

Just had to share with you folks, i cant wait to do some comparision tests and really see if a dish of this size will reliably work for sub and FTA stuff. My first test is going to be amc7 and the anchorage mux, wish me luck.

Nice! I bet you can get it if the LNB is decent.

I am flat out amazed how well this 5' (I think it might be 5.5', it measures 63.5" across the face) Winegard is working with the ASC421. If I can work up the nerve to blast through my wall with the big drill bit I'll have the ribbon cable strung into the house before long.

I was seeing 10%-15% on the ancorage mux's TP and I know my trees are in the way. I also noticed that C-band seems touchier about being .1 or .2 off on the frequency. This might be a side-effect of the ASC421 LNB though. I could go from 10%-15% to 60% with that .2 difference in the frequency.

Once the ribbon cable is in place, I'll get the Nosats up on the dish and the real fun will start :).

I'm looking forward to your results!
