Weak Signal on Select Transponders

I just switched to D* from E* and am not as familiar with their terminology but here goes nothing.

I have a SlimLine Dish with a single head AU9-SL3 that picks up all (three?) sats . I've seen other SlimLine's from D* that have a multi head (lnb) end on it but I have the single.

The signal test shows that I have a signal in the upper 90's for most transponders but there are a handful of transponders in the 60's. If I remember correctly 103 was the worst overall signal strength. 101 and 99 had most in the 90's but just a few in the 60's. So, I am probably going to lose signal on some channels when the weather gets bad....or at least lose it on some channels faster than others.

Is there some fine tuning the installer perhaps didn't do to get these transponders locked at a higher signal strenght? I have an open sky with no obstructions.

I can look up the exact transponders that are lacking is signal if needed.

Not all transponders are used for all locations. These are called spot beams. On 101 these are 4, 12, 18, 20, 26, and 28. For 99 and 103, you'll have two sats each listed. If you have the HD DVR (HR2x) receiver there will be a (c) next to the sat for the CONUS sats and an (s) next to the spot beam sats. For the non-DVR receiver these will be (a) or (b).

Please post the values from all transponders for all satelites.

Here's the signal strength numbers you requested. I do not recieve 110 or 119 on my sat. Here is everything from 99, 101, and 103.

If it helps, I receive HD Locals from the Harrisburg/York/Johnstown PA market.

All of your CONUS TP values look good.
I suspect the lower values on 99s and 103s are probably the spot beams that don't service your area.
Unless you are having problems with your local channels, you're good.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what's on 101 on transponder 4? It has a signal in the 50s.

Nevermind... I googled the transponder table and it looks like nothing in my area.
