This is a little strange. It could be TI. On G1 my dc II lock light blinks on and off on my dsr-905. I am getting Fta dvb signals fine but digicipher is irratic. In the past I have had to knock out dc2 and not harm my fta signals very much.

The coaxes pass through the 905 before they get to my pansat fta box.

A blinking light normally indicates a weak DCII signal from the transponder you're watching. You might want to look at the signal strength numbers when on a DCII channel. Antenna tweaking? Any change if fta box is disconnected? Skewing off? Good luck.
