West coast Locals in Boston? (Even just big 4)?

I want to get West coast locals, la or whatever.

I live in Boston.

What is Conus, where are they (What satellite)?

And what dish do I need?

Can I buy a locals only package from AllAMerican or do I have to buy a min dish package.

I asked about this in the directtv forum too.

The Los Angeles HD locals through AllAmericanDirect are on the 110 satellite, only a typical dish is needed. The receiver has to be a ViP MPEG4 receiver, but I don't think you'd find the MPEG2 HD ones anymore unless you were digging on Ebay for old equipment.

LA addresses do not qualify for AAD service either. You must be in a local that has no OTA TV service.

I just made up an address and used a zip code in the middle of Nevada. Worked great.
