Like I said, once Scott put the News banner up, he has a moral imperative to keep it up to date, otherwise those SatelliteGuys being impacted by any disaster might feel overlooked.

At the end of the day, I'd hope people don't need a "news ticker" to remind them to donate....

It wasn't about the donations, it was more about the selective expression of concern for one geographical group of members. For example, I'm sure there are SatelliteGuys members who have been severely impacted by the ongoing wildfires out west.

I don't think there is anything more I care to say. I don't do Facebook and this is the closest thing I have to a social network. Bobby's right, Scott makes great sacrifices to keep the lights on here at SatelliteGuys.US and my whiny thread sound rather ungracious.

And I didn't intend this thread to take away from the main Irma thread. I'm glad that everyone came through unharmed though inconvenienced by power outages or cleaning up after Irma.
