What is a Sat C LNB? I bought a dish at a yard sale a bit ago and it had 3 LNB's on it, one says "Sat C only"

Will this LNB Work for my Audio I want to get, or is it something special that won't work?

A sat C LNB is the 110w LNB on a DirecTV Phase III, its a special LNB and cant be used for FTA :(

no it wont work

The Sat C LNB takes TP 28,30 & 32 on 110 and "converts" them to TP 8, 10, 12 so it can be combined with the 119 LNB through one cable and one menu on DirecTV

The other 2 LNB's "should" work. I assume the LNB's can be removed? I have a Phase II (which it sounds like thats what it is) and the LNB's can be removed.

yea, they are on a big plastic thing... they were together until about an hour ago :)

Ok, I'm going to dissect the Sat C LNB, I've always been curious to what goes on inside one ;)

...Where'd I put that BFH?

sweet. You got the Phase II...those are better as the LNB's can be removed and there is no internal switch :)

I got this little thingy called a Sat B/C combiner.

Hammer it too?

I don't know.....probably

Everything else will work except for the Sat C LNB and probably the "combiner"

that little sat C combiner had a couple diodes and etc. in it.

the LNB was suprisingly empty of electronics, just a little waveguide and etc.
