I occasionally travel in VERY rural (and hilly) SW Wisconsin and NW Illinois. Most farms have satellite dishes and 20foot + towers for OTA signals. Many homes also have a dish that is at an angle, I'm guessing about 45° DOWNWARD. This doesn't look like a wireless internet or phone service antenna that I see, so what is it??

I've seen those on farms too.....usually a farming/weather update thing...

The ones around here are for internet service. They point the dish at a tower, since it is not pointed towards space it looks like it is pointed to the ground, but it is not.

Pinnacle Network Solutions | Great Internet service for you is a company in my area that does wireless internet via a tower with dishlike antennas on the house pointed to the tower.
