Setup:
30" Dish, 2100 rotor, QPH-031 LNB, one C and one L go to
a DiSEqC 2 x 1 Switch, then to my Pansat 2500A... And
all is great.

Now, last week I got a DVB, Vision Plus 1020A (Sat-CI??)
without the CI??

So I run a coax from the remaining L connection on the
031 LNB, direct to the DVB card.

The software that comes with the card (suxz!), VisionDTV,
I select a "fixed" dish, use the Pansat to go to G10R, and
set the VisionDTV to G10R...

I get 40% signal (what!!) and no lock, no nothing..
Yet the TV connected to the Pansat pulls in The Tube fine.

I dont have any other dish's nor LNB's to try, but I did
change the connections on the LNB...

Are there (crap) clones of these card's? Cos the box it
came in looks nothing like the ones on there site.

Thanks

Have you tried looping out of the Pansat? That is what I had to do, because of some problems with my card.

Yeah, should should have to set the LO to 10750. Try downloading the trial of MyTheatre and ProgDVB and see if you get anywhere with them.

tim

Ok, I tried the LOF and the direct connect from the pansat, also a copy of MyTheatre... I still get nothing... Maybe I will move it
to another PC and check again...

Thanks

Moved to another PC, FA.... Time to trash this crap....

Damn, even the "manual" could be better if a monkey was
involved in it's production... There in NOTHING in the "manual"
thats has anything to do with the product. The CD does not
'auto-start' cos there is no auto start on it!!!
It has two directories, one for DTV and another for Auto..

Each require a system restart, for the SAME driver!!!

anyone wont a crap DVB card, going cheap....?????

BTY I an not a PC goon, I know what is required... and
am able to to it....

pps... The "Goons" IS the best Radio program EVER... OK, I'm old..

I had much of the same problems, unfortunately. One part is the software that came with the Twinhaun, the VisionDTV, was terrible. I downloaded ProgDVB, and many of the channels VisionDTV couldn't see popped up -- but unforutnately not all. A little later, I'm going to try to loop out of my Fortec to see if that helps.

My first suggestion is to download ProgDVB (MyTheatre isn't working on my compy), and give it a chance. I'm hoping a little tweaking and the right program will let me get all the normal FTA on my computer.

If you would like, I can test it for you with my working setup to see if it really is a bad card. PM me if you wish, or we can discuss you trying it more.

Jim, that might be a good idea, but first I will try ProgDVB, like Disco said...
