what size dish any for satmex 5 @ 116

Hi all i just wonder what will be the right size dish to get ku signal for satmex 5 @ 116 for two channels from mexico. thank u for any comments. manny

C or KU?

If KU the answer is a big old KU dish....when you get as far north as you are (jersey/NY area) the dropoff for reception is immense. Here in MN I use a 48" minimum if I wanted those. The 6 footer with a KU LNB got a few stations on there.

30" or 36" no way

but what channels are you looking for? I guess you might want to make sure they are still up

In Puerto Rico with a 5'-8" you can get in C band around 50-60 channels

yeah same here in Minnesota on C-Band
But for KU the footprint is really bad the further north you go

I get most with a 6ft Fortec.. except Guatevisión and few others that prob need a bigger dish or are not there any more

Guys, it says right in his post that he wants KU band, not C-band.

It all depends on where you're located, in southern california i get Ku with a small offset dish (less than 3ft) and a Q above 80 con Televisa Tijuana's channel and 60-70 Q on the religious channels, and on C with a 6ft i get 82-85 channels at C band.
