My one year old hr20 HD DVR about a month ago started to freeze screen but sound still working. Only way to get screen unfrozen is to unplug. Also sometimes when screen is not frozen I would get remote and it would not work the box. Like the box would not work with remote all the sudden. Then I would unplug box and remote would work.

called DTV and they sent me a new Hr21 box. Problem is repeating itself right away on new box.

Called DTV and they are perplexed??? My other two standard DVR boxes are not freezing.

Any ideas>????
Thanks:mad:

Talked to lead tech with DTV tonight. Its caused by the internet connection on my hr20 and 21. Known issue with many receivers. Will be fixed next software release. Offered me free programming. Good guy

So you disconnected the internet for the time being, right?

BTW, you need to get the thread title fixed.
