I'm interested in getting Dish installed, but don't really care to make another commitment since I also have Directv. I'd like to just get the HD channels from Dish.

I'm under the impression that in order to get free installation and equipment that you have to commit to a year or two of a basic package, is that so?

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get one HD-DVR or HD receiver and have a new dish installed solely to get HD programming?

Thanks

Get a used 6000U and two cheap DirecTv or Dish Network legacy dishes and point it at 61.5 and 110. You would need a sw-21 switch to connect them both together which is also cheap. The HD package itself would be $20 without any other programming.

Dam my D* picture is horrid

Dish refuses to allow me to have 2 DVR 942
