what's with FaceBook ?

I didn't see any recent topics posted with any relation to this question.

While refreshing pages, I often see FireFox loading something from:
. . . . . static.ak.connect.facebook.com
It was during a period where my performance was sluggish, and I wondered if this had anything to do with it?
Or more importantly, what does the SatGuy's server have to do with anything FaceBook-related?

We are testing something out which allows you to log into SatelliteGuys with your facebook account.

If you don't have a satelliteguys account but do have a facebook account the system will automatically create an account for you here and will suck your information down from facebook here to SatelliteGuys.

In addition facebook users can post messages here and have replies automaticaly posted to their facebook wall.

In addition if they have friends on Facebook their friends list is carried over here at SatelliteGuys so if they have a friend there which is also on satelliteguys those users will be listed automatically in their friends list here at SatelliteGuys.

Yes there is a SatelliteGuys Facebook group which RockyMtnHigh created. I get lots of friends requests but don't approve them all as I have a lot of personal stuff on there.

With that said dont get upset at me if I dont approve your friends request.

I should also mention that SatelliteGuys is also on Twitter! I try putting up breaking news items up there so you can get tweets as things break. Twitter / SatelliteGuys is the address.

I use to "not get it" about Facebook and Twitter, but know have grown into the web 2.0 acceptance.

I actually enjoy using Facebook now and sending Tweets on Twitter.

I know it is safe, but it is very annoying to have to click 'OK' on EVERY page refresh/load

Is there a way to stop that?

Same here. Didn't get it until my wife convinced me to use it. Now I use it a lot to talk with old friends from High School. Our 20th reunion this summer is pretty much being planned on Facebook.
