Whee is NBC HD?

At the half of the Notre Dame game, a message suddenly appeared on my screen:

Sorry for the interruption. there is no need to call us. We are working to have this channel back as soon as possible. You may still watch non-local programming by pressing the GUIDE button on your remote control and selecting another channel.

The SD version is still running; what gives?

The SD version is different then the HD version.

With the Hurricane / Tropical storm hitting I would not be surprised to lose some more of them as well.

It looks like WVIT HD is back online on Dish Network.

Yep.. I just got it too. All the NYC HD channels lost. The SD channels are OK.

Update: They are back after about a 10 minute outage but Fox Sat baseball is in Sd now.

Update 2: Fox HD is back now. 5 extra minutes later.

BTW I think that the Hartford (and NY) channels are uplinked from a different uplink center then the SD channels.

Anyone know which uplink center those HD locals come from? I am betting this Hurricane / Tropical storm might have something to do with it.

It went out again but came back . . . checked weather.com and see Hanna is moving incredibly fast throughout the NE

Albany WNYT-HD had the same slate. OTA was fine, so it must have been Hanna effect at the uplink enter.
