Where can I find an old Dishplayer 7100?

would they even let you connect that box up 🤔. i see the old voom and primestar boxes on e-bay all the time just sitting there LOL seen some old orby boxes to. one would think there pretty useless in todays world. and your SOL if there's money owed on that box aka PPV'S have dish run the box id serial numbers and smart card!!! before you buy it!!! and if your doing it yourself dish will put you on a pay as you go acct with no perks and paying for your install if you can't install it yourself paying regular price for programming and last i knew a tv activation fee. now if you can do it yourself though we used a hopper 3 when we did it and we installed it ourselves we went through dishformyrv.com there was no tv activation fee just a month of service

it would come out chraper to buy a pc and get high speed internets :biggrin. do they still even offer dialup internets any longer
I am trying to buy a Echostar/UltimateTV unit as I am trying to work on a server to get these units back online. However My luck on finding any online was next to none so I was asking someone here to see if they had any units that they want to get rid off.

there more than likely all in landfills and would be dated in todays world. you might try ebay. the only thing they might be good for is the cd music channels last i heard dish was shutting those down don't know if they would pick the sxm channels up!!! my guess is not

I had a couple customers with dishplayers and I really loathed that thing. Not all that good at internet and downright crappy as a sat receiver. Just very offputting to operate, especially for a servicer. I guess the idea was to marry the new internet thing with the old TV thing, but it wasn't a good marriage. Did it ever become all that easy to switch from TV to internet on the same screen? I suppose now with these smart TVs?

Why are you so big time negative, post after post of why this person shouldn't even consider what seems to be a pet project. This person is in the United Kingdom. Many people like to dabble, let them be.
