TSN is on the Nimiq2 and AnikF2 sats. Where do the cable companies pick up the master feed? I cant imagine they would take a ompressed feed off one of these two sats.

Is TSN on another sat that is picked up by the cable companies, and can that feed be subscribed to, or does one have to go with BEV or SC?

Thanks

Cable companies will not get it from BEV or SC, It could be on another satellite (if it is we can not subscribe to it) or it is most likely distributed to the cable companies over fiber optics.

TSN is owned by CTV which is a huge network in Canada. Its probably fibred

some channels are beamed up via CANCOM (which Shaw AKA Starchoice owns) which is on AnikF1 and scrambled.

All cable head ends + MTS that do not receive TSN via fibre receive it from in HD from Anik F2; SD/Alternate feed from F1R. The F1R transponder that TSN is on is owned by CTV Globemedia - not Shaw Broadcast services. That's why there are only 4 services on it (5 when TSN Alt is live) as compared to the Expressvu feed of 8 to 12 services/transponder.

Telcos, not on fibre from Toronto, take the Expressvu feed
