Your problem is most likely the home node. Bypass the home node and put the backwards 2 way splitter in to combine the TV2 and OTA signals. Attach one TV line to test and see how it works - play with your TV2 channel selection at that point. Once you get it to work then put your splitter after the "combiner", hook up your additional lines and see how that works. I think your last step will be to throw the home node in the trash can.
My system uses a CM 7777 amp, combines my 722 TV2 with OTA, then splits out to three lines and the reception is just fine without any amplification.
