Hey, didn't you have a forum stalker a few years back? I would be in favor of turning this option back on...but only if it were user configurable (i.e., they can turn it on and off) and the default privacy setting is turned off.

I know why that feature was turned off, but with the new server and all the new and improved stuff, will this feature ever be turned back on for the members?

What happens as the server ages, membership or online users increase, etc, etc ? Turn it off again ?

Seems to me it's a poorly written tool. I know a lot of vB sites either don't use it or tried to use it and ended up disabling it because of the performance hit it imposes.

I can believe it was a resource hog and or poorly written, but that is not only reason why it was turned off.
