Simple question on the Whole Home setup

Trying to convince my dad to switch to Directv. Right now he is SD only on Dish and they want too much to upgrade to all VIP equipment. The Kangaroo wont work for him....not even close (too many reasons)

But if we do the setup one of the receivers we wouldnt want connected to MRV/Whole Home. Is there any way to make it so that one receiver doesnt have the ability to see the DVR?

Only hd receivers would be able to see the dvr set up on whole home. However if the receiver is hd, you can go into wholehome setup and make sure that it is not authorized, and it would not pick up on the dvr.

As stated above, just dont authorize it for MRV viewing.

Yes you can under Setup and under Whole-Home you can decide which DVR's share their recording and which don't.

Also if a person in one room does not want to see any of the DVRs besides the one in their room. You can hit List and then the Green Button then click Fliter by playlist and select All or Local Playlist
