It's not that eastern arc is more desirable, it's that your local channels will only be available to you from that arc. Yes, you get your locals via OTA, but they want you to fit the criteria for your location.

Ok. I will go ahead and aim it to EA after I put the EA lnbf on the dish. Call them and tell them.

Got it fixed. Had a hard time getting CSR to understand I changed my own lnbf and pointed my own dish lol. She said " a technician has to do that" lol. Got my acct unlocked.

in the past people who churned programming were restricted from changing at all.

many years ago when i was a dealer i sold a receiver to a mod on dan collins site, that fellow was a churner and dish shut him off completely thinking he was stealing programming. mike lehto got his serviced restored, but he was permanetely restricted from changing programming

So if someone was a program "churner", how would that let them steal programming? Your receiver is authorized for the programming when you add it on.
