Why are DTV commercials so LOUD!

I know DTV has been working to equalize the volume levels between their SD and HD channels - by why are their own commercials REALLY FREAKIN LOUD?

They have done well with the other equalization issue but geeze - talk about irritating.

I have the opposite situation. When a Directv ad comes on, I can barely hear it.
