I purchased a new samsung BD-C5500 Blu ray player. I've been using it for a couple of streaming movies. I'm not receiving 5.1 surround. I have it hard wired cat 5 cable to the player. I'm using HDMI into HDTV. I running DSL internet at 3mb. Any help would be great.

I guess that would answer it, Any idea when it could be available.

Netflix only has a few movies so far that do DD5.1 and they are listed as such when you select them just as is "HD" or not.

Stargate: Continuum is one that I know is DD5.1 Go test that movie and see if your receiving equipment is set up for it. I've seen a couple others but they are really sparse.

Just an update-

I just got an OPPO BD93 installed and it has Netflix option. I discovered that while movies that have DD5.1 on my PS3 and XBOX360 do not show as DD5.1 on the Oppo BD player. In fact, the sound appears to be monaural. Should be obvious that not all Netflix players support DD5.1.
