WIAT dropouts

I've recently been having frequent dropouts of the digital/hd signal from channel 42 in Birmingham. I was wondering if anyone else in this area is experiencing this problem. I've been getting hd/digital ota for about 2 years and WIAT has until now been the most reliable hd/digital signal I get from Birmingham. I live about 45 miles east of Birmingham. I am not having the dropout problem on the other local channels, except for the PBS station (which almost always drops out), so I assume the problem is on the station's end. I e-mailed them a few days ago, but I have not received a response.

For those of you that have a problem with a big yellow banner showing signal loss intermittantly for about two seconds (annoying).

The solution is to put a DC block coupling in the antenna cable at the receiver input.

This works

This problem appeared within the last two months on my VIP-211 receiver - my Samsung HDMI receiver does NOT have this problem.

Hope this helps.

I used one laying around the RF lab, but try these less than $3.00 units
