When is Widgets going to be operational, and be released/ It's says "Coming Soon" I know that D* is testing it, but that's been for a long time now. Just wondering if anybody had any news are knew what is happening with the Widgets at all. I am looking forward to the release!!!


When I do a system test is says that Network Services Failed but my Widgets still work?? But when I look at the info screen under Menu and System Setup iit lists the ports for network services and then it says Status: 5000. What does status 5000 mean?

My receiver is the R22-100 and my Diagnostics Report # is 20080901-283A

How do you access Fortunes??

Those who know aren't talking.

For Fortunes, you need to go into setup and configure Network Services. It will then appear on the menu.

DirecTV is still working on widgets, but it has not started testing yet.

Would I still get the "Comming Soon" screen for Widgets if my Network Services were not set up correctly.

Because I don't think they are, and I am not getting Fortunes

Yes you would as you dont have to be connected to the internet to get the widget bar, I believe.

I read on the other forum that Widgets are on the back burner for awhile.
