This could be a stupid question, but does the HR10-250 work with the new 5 LNB dish? Reason I ask is I am moving at the end of the month and a guy in D's tech department told me that it does and that I can the new 5 LNB dish upgrade for free. A little help here - please.

It works fine. Just set the receiver to 3LNB dish during setup.
Only thing is, if you have an OTA, you cannot diplex the signal with one of the satellite feeds from the 5LNB dish. You will need 3 separate lines for full functionality.

In addition to what Cal87 said; the older receivers work fine with the new dish. No diplex of OTA, and of course, no MPEG4 channels without a MPEG4 capable receiver. So far, depending on the area, that is HD LIL and some HD RSN and that's it.

I think some installers and CS Rs may be saying they just don't work (at all) when its just the MPG4 part that is missing AFAIK.
