thinking about switching to dish network and have a question. cost to swap out parts on sk-3005 multiswitch around $300 my multisat controller already points to 119 and 110 which are also dish network satellites why do i need to change LNB and arms. I understand need for multiswitch and receiver splitters also which is better hopper or wally.

Electronics in the turret that does the dish aiming is designed to talk to the LNBF head which is different for Dish than DirecTV.

Yes you need to do the changes.
