I was told by someone who works at WWSB, ABC 7 in Sarasota that the channel will be on Dish by the end of this month (March) in SD. It will be on 61.5 and at 110. The source said that the channel will be in HD on Dish by the end of 2012. The station has been trying for years to get on Dish and Directv (Directv has had it on their service since 2009) as well as many people requesting it.
The EPG now has listings for the channel if you get it OTA now instead of the hated "DIGITAL SERVICE" that you have to unlock everytime you want to view the station or even change the channel and come back to WWSB. It is in HD OTA, although the local newscast is done in SD.
