xfer shows from 622 to 722

Are there any problems xfering shows from a 622 to a usb drive then to a 722?

Only problem I can think of is that you can't.

If you activate an external Hard Drive, you should be able to as long as both receivers are on the same account. There is a charge to activate the external hard drive.

I think you may be right on this, it shouldn't matter to the OP as he is transfering them twice. Once to the hard drive and once to the other receiver (although they can be played through the hard drive on the other receiver, I'm not sure if this setup would count as a transfer..

It sounded like he wanted to go 622->drive, and then drive -> 722. You can just move the hard drive between the two, but can't use the drive as just a transfer medium and end up with shows in your 722 from your 622.

Copy the stuff off the 622, then restore it on the 722.

Not directly from 622 to 722

You can directly reuse old (320 GB) 622 disk in the new 722, but will lost space - 722 have 500 GB disk.

It is done. I moved the shows from the 622 to the usb drive. I then connected the usb drive to the 722 and restored the shows to the 722 with no problem. Thanks all.

The dvr's were on the 622, wife wanted them on the 722. Why they were not recorded on the 722, I do not know unless all the tuners on the 722 were already in use.
