Zoom on some channels

Why is it on some sd channels they are zoomed in so much? Was watching DIY Channel today and it said DI an the Y and the writing underneath was cut in half!!?? They don't do it all the time. Some days it's different. Wonder if it's the feed from the network? Thanks, Andy

It is. Turn your preference from full to off. The full will clip off pictures from the networks more and more now.

Cooking channel is stretching their old SD programs to fit HD. I was watching an old episode of Good Eats and they have pulled the aspect ratio.
